I am writing to thank you for the nice experience I encountered working with The Moving Connection on my recent move from Baltimore to Southcast Michigan. Milton Pflaum our Sales Representative was timely, helpful and responsive in the needs we had pre-move. He was able to move our packing and loading up a day early since our "picky" buyer wanted everything out of the house prior to her walkthrough.

Jeff Curtis was our packer, loader, driver and unloader. I cannot imagine a move that may have gone any smoother. Jeff was courteous, friendly, kind and considerate. This was extremely important since we were attempting to move a household that included my wife, my one year old daughter, a dog and me. Jeff understood the new to be detail oriented. He also understood there was bound to be confusion around the house becasue of the nature and needs of an infant.

Furthermore, on the Michigan end of the move, Jeff was a refreshing familiar face offering his kind words and understanding way of asking questions and managing his crew.

I had to write you a note and let you know what a great job your people did for us when we moved from Roland Park to Pikesville this week.

Kevin, Vickie, Nat, Sam, Antoine and Cliff were all professional, courteous and extremely helpful. We are very pleased at the way the move was handled from start to finish.

Nat and his crew really impressed us with their strength, endurance and logistical solutions.

The packing team did a great job too. They knew we were stressed out and really helped alleviate that.

I just wanted to send a thank you note for the "outstanding" job your representatives Milton Pflaum and Raylon Williams did in my family's cross country move. They made what could have been a very stressful task for me and my wife into an extremely pleasant experience.

It all started when my wife and I decided to relocate to Seattle from Baltimore. I contacted several of the "Major Players" in the moving business in the Baltimore region to give us estimates in what the cost would be to do a custom pack and move from Baltimore to Seattle. After my wife and I walked several of these companies estimators thru our home and were given estimates ranging from 13,000 lbs. to 23,000 lbs. and cost from $12,000 to $18,000. We were as confused as when we first started. Since a large part of my job as a Construction Manager is to solicit and compare bids from numerous subcontractors that is where I started. After many phone conversations with Milton, I finally saw the light and after getting everybody to price the same move, number of boxes to pack, weight of the total shipment, it came down to Milton and another large moving company. Based on the numerous phone calls that both my wife and I made to Milton to help educate us on the moving process we felt the most comfortable with Milton and North American Van Lines. When all the dust settled Milton had estimated that the final weight to be 22,400 lbs. and after the truck was loaded the final weight was 21,500 lbs. and right at our budget of $15,000.

Second, and equally important was the role our truck driver Raylon played in this move. Since I was needed at my new job in Seattle, my wife was left with the task of working with the movers to pack and load up our household. Raylon was again personable, professional and willing to educate my wife on what to do and expect during the loading process. He made her feel as though she was part of the team and not in the way. During the load we found out that the real estate transaction fell thru and we had no place to send our shipment to. Raylon not only continued to do his job, he helped my wife and family thru a very difficult day. Since the final address on where to deliver the shipment was still up in the air, Raylon took the time to keep me informed of his progress across the country so we knew where he was and how much time before we had to tell him where to deliver our furniture. We finalized our real estate transaction and Raylon and crew showed up right on time to deliver our shipment. Our shipment showed up only a few items damaged, but based on the size and distance of our shipment which included numerous antique pieces of furniture. I felt the move was a huge success.

I cannot thank these gentlemen enough for the tremendous effort they put forth to making the move a most pleasant experience for my entire family.

I had been meaning to send this for a while, but I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your part in making my move as hassle free as possible. The driver and his crew showed up bright and early and had our house packed up fairly quickly.

The driver was phenomenal. He stayed in contact with me throughout his trip and showed up at 7 AM on the delivery date! Nothing was broken. The whole process was very smooth.

Dear Milton and Melissa,

I want to thank you both very much for all of your assistance with coordinating our move.

Milton, we thought you stood out above the other 3 comps that we met with during our initial meetings. We loved your personality, friendliness, combined with your expertise and attention to detail and professionalism. You gave us the information, tools, and follow through we needed to plan our move.

I have been wanting to thank you and let you know personally how fantastic the gentlemen that came for our pack and move; Donny, Tom and TC were there both days and could not have been more hard working, kind, careful and respectful. They actually made the overwhelming move so manageable.

They easily organized everything going to our new home and storage unit and did it all perfectly. They color coded all items and made sure they asked questions. They even gave me the dimensions of the storage unit size I would need to reserve to fit the items going to storage to make everything go smoothly in Chicago.

I would love to write a letter relaying our experience with all of you in further detail now that I am here and more settled. If you can please let me know who to address and send it to.

Thanks so much for trying to accommodate us moving in on the 16th. We will coordinate with the gentle men that Melissa advised and move forward with everything from her with him.

Milton-

I just wanted to let you know that everything worked out very well with our move. Ron & Barb Cogswell were wonderful. I was very comfortable with our belongings being in their hands. As far as we've been able to tell, there wasn't anything that got damaged on either end or in transit.

Dear Milton:

The dust has finally settled and I am somewhat into the groove of thinks here in Sacrament. I do, however, want to send this long overdue email to you.

Milton, I can't thank you enough for making my move from Virginia to California such a hassle-free project. Early in August, 2004, when I began planning for my move, I had never hired a moving service ever before. Naturally, my anxiety level was high. Luckily, I ran into a client of mine, Xenia, who had nothing but great things to say about you and your company.

Xenia was absolutely accurate in every way about you. From the way you answered all of my concerns, the knowledge you showed in getting the estimate over the phone, the advice you gave in packing my belongings to the courteous driver, Mr. DeKatur who, I believed, cared about my belongings as if his own.

I would recommend you and your company to all my friends and family when they have a need for a moving service.

Your team & Don & Jake moved 4 tons of my belongings on September 16 from Fort Washington, MD to Newington, CT on the 23rd. I was very impressed! They were very skilled and efficient. They were on time at both ends; never stopping for a minute. They packed and moved enormously heavy pieces of furniture with ease and without scraping a floor or a wall.

I hope to have the same team to move the rest of my belongings when my house here is sold!
